So What Wednesday

This week I'm saying so what if:

  • I usually am right on the ball and have these posted early in the morning.  Today?  Not so much.
  • I am not really confident that I'm going to make it out of school on Friday alive.  It feels like I might not make it.  :)
  • I have approximately 10 gifts on my counter that need to be wrapped before Kaitlyn gets here on Friday…should probably make that happen.
  • There are 3 gifts I still need to purchase…this weekend I'll tackle that.
  • I am a perfectionist, but I'm beginning to get lazy in my perfectionism.  This article really spoke to me this week.  Like I'm thinking about doing another entire post about it.
  • I got my nails done today and I'm having my first experience with a "party nail" {where one is painted a different color} - the jury is still out about my feelings.
  • The chaos of holiday parties is about to begin
  • there is an enormous snow storm coming our way for this weekend and I'm irritated because if it's not going to result in a snow day, I'm not interested.
  • I'm not pleased with the winner of The Voice, but because my boyfriend Adam Levine is her coach, I'm going to move on with my life.
I think that's it for this week.  Head over to Life After "I Dew" (on my right sidebar) to tell her what you're saying SO WHAT to this week.  :)

So What Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon at Life After "I Dew" today {her link is on my right sidebar…go check her out}

This week I'm saying SO WHAT if:

  • This winter weather is terrible.  Like I want to stay inside my home and not come out until spring.
  • I stop by the mailbox everyday to see Christmas cards.  The bills…not so much.
  • I know the Sound of Music last week wasn't all it was cracked up to be, but I love Carrie Underwood - so even though I still like the original better, I enjoyed it.
  • My dog is about ready to be sent to another room because she is chowing down on a bone that Kevin just gave her.  I HATE eating noises..smacking, chewing, chomping - disgusting.  And she evidently doesn't care.
  • My husband is taking pictures of her doing this ^
  • Due to the above two bullets, I just gave away the fact that I'm actually writing this So What Wednesday post on Tuesday night.  I can't get my ass out of bed in the morning to write it.
  • Still no gifts wrapped.
  • Our favorite ice cream place has the BEST Peppermint Oreo ice cream that's only out during the holidays.  I have been craving it since it came out this year and haven't stopped for it yet.
  • Kevin just took said bone away from the dog, it's now bloody and chewy.  Sick.
  • My laundry pile is completely out of control.
  • I have 8 more days of school before break and am struggling right along with my kids to stay focused.  I just love Christmas time!
I think that's it for this week!

So What Wednesday

This week I'm saying SO WHAT if:

  • I still don't have gifts wrapped and under my tree - even though I got my stuff organized over the weekend.
  • There are 3 alarms set {2 on my phone and 1 on my alarm clock} and I still can't really stand waking up.
  • I'm kind of stalking my baby registries because I like to add little things each day.  :)
  • Cee Lo Green cracks me up.  The ensembles he puts together are something else most days.
  • Leaving for State tomorrow and haven't packed a single thing.
  • I love the look of loose curls in hair, but am too lazy to do it myself.
  • if I were rich, the first thing I would hire done is my hair every morning.  That's not a joke.
  • The fact that there's only 2.5 weeks of school before break both excites me and terrifies me all at the same time.
  • The adorable Merry Christmas sign on my front door was driving me insane because it was scraping the door every time we opened or shut the door - so I scotch taped it.
  • The above bullet didn't work.  On to Plan B.
  • I really want to buy Kamdyn a pair of baby Sperry's even though I know that's a ridiculous waste of money.  But they're so darn adorable I might have to do it anyway.  Or maybe I'll just ask my mom.  :)
That's it for this week.  Hop on over to see Shannon at Life After "I Dew" (link on my right sidebar) to tell her what you're saying SO WHAT to.

Happy Hump Day -

So What Wednesday

I'm joining Shannon at Life After "I Dew" again this week by saying SO WHAT if:

  • I have to work a half day today, but my fifthsters have the day off.  {meetings, fun times}
  • My Scentsy burners all have different scents in them right now as we transition out of fall smells and into the holiday smells.
  • I scrapbooked on Friday night and my supplies are still not put away
  • My bedtime is getting later and later every day - often I'm not sleeping until midnight…baby training?
  • I'm already having anxiety about making parenting decisions…
  • I've been driving the struggle bus at work this week.  I mean, so unproductive it's ridiculous.
  • Sometimes when I'm talking to people in my real life, I tell them things only to realize they've already heard the same information/story because they read my blog.
  • Sometimes in real life, I also don't tell people things assuming they have read it - good thing I'm decent on reading social cues so I can tell when they're confused.  :)
  • I laugh my ass off at those Kmart commercials.
  • My tree still doesn't have a topper.
I think that's it for today.  Happy Wednesday!

So What! Wednesday

This week I'm saying So What! if:

  • I literally stare at pictures of Kamdyn at random points in my day every single day.
  • Christmas is stressing me out this year - even though I've gotten a bit done already - I'm itching to start wrapping/mailing/decorating.
  • I get annoyed when I see Christmas lights turned on already
  • Thinking about moving things around in our home before this baby comes just about makes me break out
  • My hair has been in a messy bun every day this week
  • We still have pumpkins up in our house
  • My guilty pleasure is the Real Housewives (only Beverly Hills & Orange County) - Kevin watched BH with me this week and I think that might have been a first and last experience for him.
  • I'm as excited as my students for a Thanksgiving Break from school
  • My Christmas list isn't really even started
  • I am obsessed with The Voice - for two main reasons
{IN.LOVE.}
  • When I'm stressed out, I download free fonts to use on my school stuff - strange I know.
  • I only have 4 more weeks with my fifth-sters alone until my sweet student teacher joins us after Winter Break
I think that's it for this week.  Stop over and visit Shannon at Life After I "Dew" and share your SO WHATs!  :)

Happy Hump Day, Friends!

So What Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon at Life After I 'Dew' today for another installment of So What Wednesday.

This week I'm saying "So What" if…

  • I have been living my life in terms of days/weeks until I find out the gender of my baby - which is tomorrow, so I'm interested to see what the next benchmark will be.
  • Each week I think to myself "if I can just make it through next week" - turns out, each week isn't really better than the next and I'm essentially wishing away time.
  • I went all summer without getting my nails done, but now that I'm back to school - I'm back to getting my nails done…I can't stand not having them painted.  Makes me feel like something in my life is put together.
  • It's NOVEMBER and I still don't feel like I have myself in order at work.  Ridiculous.
  • I am very sporadic in eating well and have sucked it up at exercising this year.
  • Although my child isn't due for another 5 months, I absolutely spent part of my night doing this:

So, tomorrow morning you will have your last BUMPdate without knowing the gender and tomorrow afternoon we will officially know whether Baby K will be wearing pink or blue!  SO excited!  :)

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

So What Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon at Life After I Dew today for a little "So What"

  • I feel like a 90 year old woman after only two days of choreography at the studio.  I am SO sore.  Like hurts-to-sit-on-the-toilet sore...but whatever.
  • My obsession with So You Think You Can Dance is ridiculous.  I am in love with many of those choreographers.  They are so amazing.
  • My classroom is STILL not put together completely.  That's the plan for tomorrow.  After tomorrow, the goal is to be able to sit at my desk and look at my adorable home away from home to really plan and prepare for fifth-sters next week.
  • I cannot wait for the end of this week because parents in our district find out who their children have for the year - it's hard to keep secrets.  :)
  • I had to finally start a tub for baby stuff we have collected for when our miracle baby finally happens.  Fingers are still crossed and prayers are still being said.
  • My hair is a HOT MESS because I missed my appointment last week.  Her next available appointment isn't for weeks {gasp}, so I'm considering going to another stylist at her salon so as to not frighten my new kids and parents next week.
That's about all this week for SO WHAT.

Have a happy Wednesday -

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if:

  • I stay up until WAY too late simply because I'm trying to milk every minute of summer and when I go to sleep I know that's one less day until I go back.
  • I am getting really excited about how my room is taking shape.  I was there with a good friend yesterday for multiple hours and it's really starting to look good.  I'll upload pics tomorrow.
  • We have nothing of substance here to eat, so we've been just haphazardly figuring out meals one at a time.  It's not good.  I should really do something about that.  But SO WHAT. :)
  • My OCD brain is beginning to itch for a normal schedule where I don't have to look at my planner each night to determine where I need to be at what time.  I've been living on the edge this summer without a set schedule.  I really know how to live on the wild side.
  • Tomorrow is August.
  • I am two weeks behind on So You Think You Can Dance and I am seeing a marathon in my near future.
What are you saying SO WHAT to this week?

So What Wednesday

Joining Shannon at Life After "I Dew" for another installment of So What! Wednesday this week.

This week I'm saying SO WHAT if:
  • I have eaten far more junk food than anything else this week while at camp.  {to be fair, our camp served less than healthy choices which didn't help this little issue}
  • I brought quite alot of school work with me to camp to work on and didn't get much of it done.
  • The one thing I was able to complete are the headers for my homework board - they are ADORBS.
  • My sister made fun of the amount of time I spent on said Homework Board headers.  Whatever.  She's just jealous of my awesome-ness.
  • This Friday is our last summer get together with work friends which means the beginning of school is nearing.  {perhaps I'm just pretending to say SO WHAT to that so that I don't begin crying that summer is over?}
  • I'm heading to St. Louis this weekend to visit with Julie & crew before we head back to school - Kevin can't go...this means a road trip by myself.  YIKES.
  • I realize that this Royal Baby business has no relevance to America, but I'm fascinated.
  • I'm about to break up with Candy Crush Saga because I cannot pass 102.  Now that I've said that, I will likely pass it the next time I open it to play.
  • Still haven't read a solitary children's book this summer.  Oops.
  • My ab workout for this week was laughing with my friends at dance camp.  Inside jokes are awesome.  "Worry about yo-self!"

So What! Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon at Life After "I Dew" for another installment of So What! Wednesday.  This week, I'm saying "so what" to the following things:
  • I have completely ignored many of my responsibilities around our house for the past 3 days because I had my niece & nephew with me.  I will pick quality time with them every single time over just about anything.  :)
  • Because of the bullet above, I now have quite a lot of work to do around home in order for it to feel like I can be calm there.  {it was absolutely worth it though!}
  • I leave for camp with my high school dance team on Saturday for 4 nights and haven't thought about packing yet.
  • Dance camp with the girls is one of my favorite parts of summer - I love to watch them grow as individuals and a team!  Plus, I really adore my time with them...they make my heart happy.  It's also a huge bonus that my sister {Kim} and my might-as-well-be-my-sister {Jenny} will be there too...time with them, without kids - don't mind if I do.
  • I went into my classroom this week to attempt to get a few things in order.  Took one look around.  Turned right back around and left.  Not ready for that monstrosity quite yet.  It soon won't be a choice.  Not good.
  • I am beginning to think of my life in terms of two things: 1. Will this make a decent scrapbook page for Kaitlyn or New Baby K someday?  2. How can I make this a blog post?  Other regular bloggers I've spoken with about this concern of mine have assured me this is somewhat normal and I shouldn't be worried.
  • I still get so excited to see my blog followers {right hand side bar} grow.  The other day it went from 11 to 12 and I was so happy!  I see lots of page views each day in my Blog Stats, but I have no idea who is all reading...so when people follow I can put a "face" with a page view.  It's the little things in life, people.  :)
  • Going back to school worries me for lots of reasons, but currently I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to keep up with the blog.  I have found so much joy in writing this summer and I really want to find a way to continue during the school year.
  • This post looked more like another brain dump, rather than really being "so what"...but, SO WHAT!  It's my blog and I can do whatever I want.  :)

So What! Wednesday

Linking up today with Shannon at Life After "I Dew" for another installment of So What! Wednesday. This week I am saying So What to:

  • I have stepped into my classroom a total of 2 times this summer and the place is a HOT MESS.  I am in big trouble when August comes around.
  • My summer schedule is completely jacked up.  I stay up way to late and then want to sleep way to late.  I need to get my life back in order ASAP.
  • We have next to nothing of substance in our fridge, freezer or pantry.
  • My messy bun hairstyle has made an appearance for the past 3 weeks consecutively.
  • I am in major need of a trip to Good Will - my closet is out of control
  • I need to look back at previous So What Wendesday's to make sure I'm not repeating myself, and even so I'm still not sure if I am or not.
  • I am so tired, I cannot think of one more thing to write.
What are you saying SO WHAT to this week?

So What! Wednesday

I'm linking up with Shannon at Life After "I Dew" today to say So What if...

  • I have an obsession with Jeff Lewis on Bravo.  He is absolutely hilarious.  And his housekeeper, Zoila, is my favorite. {new season starting in a few weeks, yesssss!}
  • I checked out all of the Iowa Children's Choice Award books to read this summer and have yet to read a single one.
  • I absolutely wrote things on my To-Do list today for the sole purpose of checking them off.
  • the only thing I can think of today is that Julie, Dan & their kids will be here tonight!!
  • I have put off every ounce of school work I intended to do this summer.  I am going to regret that in August.
  • While I am excited that tomorrow is the 4th of July, I am secretly dreading it because that is always my invisible marker that summer is almost over.  School starts 6 weeks from today.
  • I became irrationally excited about the new "Welcome" mat I purchased on sale last week.  It's adorbs.
  • I have found myself pretending to be a stay-at-home mom this summer.  I have started enjoying making dinner for my family and having some sense of normalcy to our home.
  • I can't remember the last day that I actually did something with my hair.  Not good, friends.  Not good at all.
What are you saying So What! to this week?
